APE: The Industrial Revolution, Labor Flexibility, Steve Jobs, Commodification, and What Marx Was on About.

Since the passing of Steve Jobs, the (wimpy) mass media has produced a great deal if criticism about Apple's labor practices.  THIS IS SO RELEVANT TO WHAT WE HAVE BEEN STUDYING IN CLASS!

Here is a link to a This American Life ep on the topic as well as a New York Times story on the same.  Over lapping info.  Unfortunately, unless you are already a subscriber to TAL, you can only stream the ep.

No work to do here but take in an think on it in relation to industrialization (and it discontents) or its amazing ability to produce gadgets and profits.

Enjoy.
